On February 27, the New York City Council Committees on Youth Services and Small Business held a joint hearing on the city’s efforts to serve unemployed young adults. See the Committee report prepared for Council members here.
On the hearing, Gregory J Morris, NYCETC CEO said, “The Coalition commends the New York City Council and its Committees on Youth Services and Small Business for an important and insightful hearing on the crisis of young adult unemployment and how city government is acting to defuse that crisis. Committee Chairs Althea Stevens and Julie Menin raised important questions regarding outreach, accountability, partnership, and communications that the city must address if we are to make progress in connecting more young adults to career track work.”
