#Train&Earn #GreenJobs The Henry Street Settlement x Stacks+Joules Building Automation Systems (BAS) Training program prepares young adults for in-demand careers in sustainable building operations, including HVAC systems, lighting controls, and indoor air quality management. Participants can earn up to $2,100 in stipends, gain industry-recognized certifications, and develop programming skills in Niagara and Python, with support for job and internship placement. This is a Train & Earn program open to NYC youth ages 18–24 who are not in school or working and meet eligibility requirements. #Apprenticeship #EarlyChildhoodEducation Kickstart your career in early childhood education with the New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute, NYC Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program. You’ll be matched with a paid job at a child care center or early childhood program, receive training and mentorship, and earn your Child Development Associate certificate at no cost through CUNY School of Professional Studies. All tuition, books, and fees are covered, and you’ll be paid for training with a stipend on top of your regular wage. Apply by June 20.


#AI #JusticeImpacted Justice Through Code is now enrolling for their Artificial Intelligence (AI) Career Training for Justice Impacted Talent. They offer two distinct career tracks: the Technical Track, focused on building AI systems, and the Work Alongside AI Track, a professional track that allows you to build expertise with AI tools. JTC provides AI-first education for justice-impacted talent and business leaders, integrates them through mentorship and shared learning, and activates these emerging networks to champion fair chance hiring and create lasting economic opportunity. #SectorBasedTraining Brooklyn Workforce Innovations offers free job training through eight sector-based career training programs designed to help low-income New Yorkers access living-wage employment. Their programs offer training in skilled trades such as woodworking, cable installation, CDL driving, film and TV production, affordable housing, and tech customer support. #Healthcare Project Renewal is currently enrolling for their Care Corps Behavioral Health Training. This program is a 6-week full-time training for careers as Psychiatric Technicians at NYC Health & Hospitals. It combines classroom instruction with paid, hands-on learning in hospital simulation labs. Requires HS diploma/GED, COVID-19 vaccination, and 6+ months of healthcare experience. #Agriculture #Tech Change Food for Good‘s Intro to AgTech registration is now open for the August cohort—jumpstart your career in tech, sustainable agriculture, and construction. This 8-week program is open to unemployed or underemployed New Yorkers aged 18–24 without a college degree. Register for their June information session.


Job Readiness & Green Careers

The HOPE Program is holding information sessions for their upcoming cohorts:

  • HOPEWorks (starting June 23): HOPEworks is a seven-week program that helps participants succeed in the job market and navigate careers in various fields through a cover letter and resume writing, computer skills, interview prep, basic math and English literacy, and workplace soft skills such as public speaking and conflict resolution.
  • Intervine (starting June 16): a ten-week transitional employment program that pays participants to engage in hands-on learning through green infrastructure projects across the city while learning critical job skills.

Project Comeback: Now Offering Commercial Driver’s License Training

ACE’s Project Comeback is a workforce development and vocational rehabilitation program that helps New Yorkers experiencing homelessness gain the educational, interpersonal, and technical skills needed to secure and retain full-time, permanent employment. Trainings include OSHA, Commercial Driver’s License, Food Handlers Certificate, Custodial Maintenance Training, Certified Peer Recovery Coach, and Security Guard Training.

Electric Vehicle Safety & Service Course

Interested in the electric vehicle industry? CWE, in partnership with CALSTART and Bronx Community College, is offering a free online Electric Vehicle Safety & Service course to help participants build industry skills and prepare for certification tests.

The self-paced, 25-hour online course, featuring modular lessons, videos, slides, and pre/post exams. Participants can skip sections they’re already familiar with, making it flexible for both new and experienced learners.

Who should apply? Anyone interested in the automotive industry, including mechanics, service technicians, and those looking to enter the growing electric vehicle sector. No prior experience required.

Open to women.

Grace Institute is a tuition-free 12 week administrative workforce training & job placement program for the women of New York City, ages 18-64. Through workplace training, wraparound services, job placement, and an extensive alumnae network, Grace Institute provides all of the tools necessary for women to realize their career aspirations and enter the workforce with confidence. Tech Training

Per Scholas is currently accepting applications for their IT Support, Cyber SecurityAWS re/Start and Software Engineer trainings.

Per Scholas offers in-person and virtual classes in the Bronx and Brooklyn, along with satellite classrooms at Commonpoint Queens in Jamaica and Elmhurst; Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation in East New York, Brooklyn; Stanley Isaacs Neighborhood Center in Upper Manhattan; and the JCC of Staten Island. Project Renewal

Project Renewal is actively recruiting for the following programs:

Employment Training Program: 10 days of soft skills training including resume and interview preparation as well as digital literacy
Human Services Training: 10 days training designed for individuals with an interest in developing the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to secure employment in the Human Services industry working with various populations.
Next Step Internship Training Program: Paid internship training for careers in homeless services. 8-week classroom-based and on the job training to prepare for opportunities as Residential Aide, Front Desk, House Manager and/or Maintenance Worker.
Culinary Arts Training Program: The Culinary Arts Training Program (CATP) is a 12-week intensive training program designed for individuals who express an interest in developing the skills and knowledge needed to work in a kitchen and secure employment in the food service industry.
Assisted Competitive Employment Program: individualized job placement and support program for adults with mental health diagnosis.

LaGuardia Community College’s Correctional Education Partnership

Open to formerly incarcerated people and those impacted by mass incarceration, ages 18 and older.

The Correctional Education Partnership (CEP) initiative seeks to support the educational goals of formerly incarcerated people and those impacted by mass incarceration to create equitable career pathways and opportunities in a competitive job market. CEP does this by advancing access to high-quality education and training courses that build knowledge in specialized career fields in a holistic, safe, and supportive environment at LaGuardia Community College. Comprehensive Workforce Development Services in Brooklyn

St. Nicks Alliance offers comprehensive workforce development services, including skills training, job placement, adult education, and career guidance for youth and adults. They focus on in-demand fields such as construction, HVAC, environmental remediation, and more, helping over 1,000 individuals annually secure high-wage, career-track jobs. Jericho Project’s Veteran Employment Program provides individualized employment and training services to Veterans, their spouses, and adult children, most of whom have been seeking employment for extended periods. Building Skills NY (BSNY)

BSNY provides ongoing virtual recruitment for full-time entry-level construction jobs throughout NYC. Candidates that meet the minimum BSNY requirements and would like to be considered for BSNY construction jobs are invited to complete an application online. After the application is completed, our staff will reach job-seekers for an initial interview which may include an invitation to an upcoming recruitment session.
