Mini Episode – Debbie Roman Joins National Grid to Bridge Employers and Communities

After three and a half deeply rewarding years at Per Scholas New York, Debbie is stepping into a new chapter. She’s joining National Grid’s Workforce Development team as Program Manager, NY Workforce Development, where she’ll lead efforts to strengthen equitable talent pipelines across the region.

In her new role, Debbie will partner with community-based organizations, training providers, and veterans’ groups to expand access to high-quality careers in the energy and infrastructure sectors. She’ll help align education and pre-apprenticeship pathways with National Grid’s hiring needs, manage strategic workforce initiatives and grants, and ensure local residents can connect to long-term, sustainable employment opportunities.
