Join the NYC Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC) and the NYC Public Schools Office of Student Pathways for a morning convening on strengthening connections between K–12 career-connected learning and New York City’s broader workforce ecosystem.
Career-connected learning is essential to the city’s economic development and affordability agenda, helping young New Yorkers build pathways to careers and economic mobility. Scaling this work requires aligned goals, shared infrastructure, and sustained partnerships among schools, community-based organizations, higher education, employers, and workforce training providers.
Through a plenary conversation, panel, case studies, and a practical exchange of needs and resources, participants will explore opportunities to partner with NYCPS schools and pathways teams. Discussions will cover the myriad of ways that partners can support career-connected learning, from mentorship and work-based learning placements to industry credentials, curriculum support—with time to identify partnership leads and next steps.
Who Should Attend
This convening is designed for NYCETC member organizations, including community-based organizations, workforce training providers, higher education institutions, and employers.
