Front of House Training Program – Hot Bread Kitchen
4-week program | Application deadline: May 7 | New York City
A hands-on training program preparing participants for customer-facing roles in the food industry. The program covers customer service, professional readiness, and foundational food and beverage skills.

Care Corps Behavioral Health Training Program – Project Renewal
Next cohort begins July 6 | 6-week program | New York City
A free training program combining classroom learning and hands-on experience to prepare participants for entry-level roles supporting individuals with serious mental illness. Training takes place in partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals.
- 6 weeks of classroom and simulation-based training
- Paid training: earn $17/hour, plus weekly incentives and MetroCard (if eligible)
- Earn certifications including Basic Life Support and NARCAN administration
- Career support including resume help, interview preparation, and job placement assistance
- Eligibility: Passion for helping individuals experiencing serious mental illness; NYC residents age 18+; high school diploma or equivalent; authorized to work in the U.S.; prior direct patient care or related experience

Masonry Training Program – Andromeda Community Initiative
May 26 – June 26 | Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm | Long Island City, Queens
A free, hands-on masonry training program preparing participants for careers in construction and building restoration. Training includes instruction in multiple trades, safety practices, and job readiness support.
- Training in masonry, building restoration, scaffolding, waterproofing, insulation, and green construction
- Earn certifications including OSHA 30, Site Safety Training (SST), scaffold user trainings, and more
- Full-time, in-person program with hands-on instruction

Cybersecurity with AI Tools – Per Scholas
15-week program starting June 22 | Monday–Friday, 9 am – 4 pm | Remote
A no-cost training program providing hands-on experience in cybersecurity, preparing participants for entry-level roles protecting systems, networks, and data. The program integrates AI tools and prepares learners for industry-recognized certifications.
- Hands-on training in cybersecurity concepts, threat detection, and defense strategies

Digital Green Technology Professional Training Program – QCC Green Technology Academy
May 18 – July 3 | Evening classes (Mon–Wed, 7–10 pm) | Online
A workforce training program combining green technology and digital skills, preparing participants for roles at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and cloud computing. Participants gain hands-on experience in generative AI, cloud computing, and energy-focused digital systems.
- Training in Generative AI fundamentals, AWS cloud computing, and digital systems
- Pathways into roles in data centers, smart infrastructure, and energy-efficient IT environments
- Tuition fully funded by Con Edison

Construction Training Program – NYCHA REES, NYC Small Business Services & City Tech
Training starts June 1 | 10-week, full-time program | In person
A hands-on construction training program designed for NYCHA public housing and Section 8 residents, offered through NYCHA’s Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability in partnership with NYC Small Business Services and City Tech. Participants receive industry-recognized certifications and support connecting to employment and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Earn certifications including OSHA 30, Site Safety Training (SST), NCCER, and Flagger
- 10 weeks of full-time, hands-on instruction with experienced trainers
- Referrals to employment and union apprenticeships upon completion
- Eligibility: NYCHA public housing or Section 8 residents; age 18+; high school diploma or GED; interest in construction required

PowerUP Business Plan Competition – Brooklyn Public Library
Entrepreneurship program | Brooklyn
A free business development program supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in launching or growing a Brooklyn-based business. Participants attend classes, work with business counselors, and develop a full business plan, with the opportunity to compete for cash awards.

Train to become a restaurant cook — NYC Department of Small Business Services
First Course NYC is an apprenticeship program for eligible New Yorkers who are passionate about starting a foodservice career in a demanding NYC restaurant kitchen, and are willing and able to commit to full-time training and employment.
- Eight weeks of free, hands-on culinary training led by experienced restaurant professionals, preparing you for entry into a restaurant kitchen

Tech Fundamentals & Networking and Systems Administration – NPower
Open to young adults ages 18-26, veterans and military spouses, NPower provides tuition-free technology training, in-demand IT certifications, access to corporate mentors and networking opportunities, paid internships/apprenticeships, and career placement into the tech world for young adults and military veterans/spouses. Jumpstart your tech career in less than 6 months through FREE technology training and career readiness. No tech experience is needed. Our programs include:

COOP Careers Fellowship – Fall 2026
August 12 – December 2 | Career accelerator fellowship | New York City
A no-cost career accelerator fellowship designed for first-generation and low-income college graduates. Participants build skills and professional networks across three tracks: Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Financial Services.

Software Engineering & Data Analytics Fellowships – The Marcy Lab School
Starts September 22 | Industry City, Brooklyn (hybrid)
A one-year fellowship preparing young adults for careers in software engineering and data analytics. Participants receive intensive, project-based training and career support designed to launch tech careers without a traditional four-year degree.
- Choose from Software Engineering or Data Analytics tracks
- Hands-on training in tools such as JavaScript, React, Python, SQL, Tableau, and AI tools
- Hybrid format: virtual and in-person training at Industry City
- Full-time commitment (40–50+ hours/week)

Human Services, Culinary, and Employment Training Programs – Project Renewal
Project Renewal is actively recruiting for the following programs:
- Employment Training Program: 10 days of soft skills training including resume and interview preparation as well as digital literacy.
- Human Services Training: 10 days training designed for individuals with an interest in developing the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to secure employment in the Human Services industry working with various populations.
- Next Step Internship Training Program: Paid internship training for careers in homeless services. 8-week classroom-based and on the job training to prepare for opportunities as Residential Aide, Front Desk, House Manager and/or Maintenance Worker.
- Care Corps Behavioral Health Training Program: 6-week training program combining classroom learning with hands-on experience to prepare participants for entry-level roles supporting individuals with serious mental illness.
- Culinary Arts Training Program: The Culinary Arts Training Program (CATP) is a 12-week intensive training program designed for individuals who express an interest in developing the skills and knowledge needed to work in a kitchen and secure employment in the food service industry.
- Assisted Competitive Employment Program: individualized job placement and support program for adults with mental health diagnosis.

AI-Enabled Healthcare IT Technician – Per Scholas
Full-time training program | Starting September 14 | Online
A no-cost training program preparing participants for entry-level careers in healthcare IT. The program combines IT fundamentals, healthcare systems knowledge, and hands-on training in AI tools to support technical troubleshooting and workflows in clinical settings. Participants also receive professional development and job placement support.

Community AI Literacy Workshop – Pursuit

A hands-on workshop introducing participants to AI as a tool for problem-solving in their personal and professional lives. The session includes a community discussion on AI’s impact on the workforce, followed by an interactive workshop where participants will build AI-powered tools.
- No prior experience with AI or technology required
- Learn how AI is shaping jobs and develop practical, career-ready skills
- Hands-on session to build confidence using AI tools

Pathways to Employment: Work Readiness Series – United Spinal Association
8-session workshop series | Every 3rd Tuesday at 1 pm ET | Virtual
An 8-session virtual workshop series designed for wheelchair users seeking to enter or advance in the workforce. Sessions cover topics including managing benefits while working, resume development, disability disclosure and workplace accommodations, interview preparation, LinkedIn and networking, and job search strategies. Participants are welcome to join at any point even if you missed the first session on March 17.

Work Readiness Training Program – Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce
10-week virtual training program | Brooklyn residents
A job readiness training program designed to help participants strengthen their job search and workplace skills, including navigating the job market, interviewing successfully, and preparing for long-term career growth.

Usher Corps – Little Island Summer Employment

Applications are now open for Little Island’s Usher Corps programs, paid summer opportunities for young professionals interested in gaining experience in arts and cultural programming. The IMPACT Program supports New Yorkers transitioning from the justice system by providing job training, career support, and essential resources. Services include:

Skills Training, Job Placement, Adult Education and Career Guidance in Brooklyn – St. Nicks Alliance
St. Nicks Alliance offers comprehensive workforce development services, including skills training, job placement, adult education, and career guidance for youth and adults. They focus on in-demand fields such as construction, HVAC, environmental remediation, healthcare, tech, finance and more, helping over 1,000 individuals annually secure high-wage, career-track jobs. Sector-Based Training for a Variety of Careers – Brooklyn Workforce Innovations
Brooklyn Workforce Innovations offers free job training through eight sector-based career training programs designed to help low-income New Yorkers access living-wage employment. Their programs offer training in skilled trades such as woodworking, cable installation, CDL driving, film and TV production, affordable housing, and tech customer support. Project Comeback for New Yorkers Experiencing Homelessness – ACE
Open to New Yorkers who are experiencing homelessness
ACE’s Project Comeback is a workforce development and vocational rehabilitation program that helps New Yorkers gain the educational, interpersonal, and technical skills needed to secure and retain full-time, permanent employment. Trainings include OSHA Construction, Commercial Driver’s Licensing, Forklift Operation, Custodial Maintenance Training, Certified Peer Recovery Coach, and Security Guard Training. ACE also offers paid work experience training, adult education, job-placement services, a life-long aftercare program, and on-site wrap-around support including legal assistance, financial coaching, and wellness programming.

College and Career Pathway Services for Formerly Incarcerated People – LaGuardia Community College
Open to formerly incarcerated people and those impacted by mass incarceration, ages 18 and older.
The Correctional Education Partnership (CEP) initiative seeks to support the educational goals of formerly incarcerated people and those impacted by mass incarceration to create equitable career pathways and opportunities in a competitive job market. CEP does this by advancing access to high-quality education and training courses that build knowledge in specialized career fields in a holistic, safe, and supportive environment at LaGuardia Community College. Building Skills NY (BSNY) provides ongoing virtual recruitment for full-time entry-level construction jobs throughout NYC. Candidates that meet the minimum BSNY requirements and would like to be considered for BSNY construction jobs are invited to complete an application online.
